About Family Style Medicine Theater
"Through play, children find freedom. Adults find freedom, too, if they will play with children rather than 'teach' them."
— Viola Spolin
Viola Spolin, the Grandmother of this work, believed that play is universal.
Children already live inside the world of play, while adults often forget how to enter.
When parents join their children in spontaneous play, the usual roles and barriers begin to soften, allowing everyone to meet as fellow explorers in a shared world of imagination.
Through playful improv games, embodied creative expression, and co-created mythic storytelling, we'll discover new worlds together, awakening our intuitive knowing and bringing the invisible realms of imagination to life!
Our journey will include a short break halfway through, with opportunities to rest and recharge before continuing our adventure.
No theater experience is necessary! Just a willingness to play, explore, and create together!
This is a shared family experience, with parents and caregivers participating alongside their children.
Join us for an afternoon of liberation, discovery, connection, and joy-making!
